The fee on the other hand shows up as a separate transaction on my statement. My credit union bank account shows 1% of USD amount and Chase bank account shows 2% of USD amount of transaction. Despite this, if the foreign ATM terminal has a matching interbank network logo to your card (Cirrus, Star, Interlink, etc) then this additional fee transaction does NOT show up.
