Gertrud, I’m sorry you haven’t had luck finding work with these companies, but I can assure you they are not scam companies. Many do have people fill out questionnaires, to make sure that candidates match the requirements and needs of the company, basically an on-line interview. Don’t give up, I’m sure you will find the right match with persistence.

Amy, good catch on that one. However, the site itself is updated regularly, it’s just that the content of that page and the info it gives haven’t changed so they didn’t need to change or “update” it. When everything is the same there is no need to update the content. If you look at other stuff that actually need updating (for example the copyright year notice in the footer) you can see that they do update them.

On the day of orientation we were told that after or during training we would have to submit the background info and fee before the week we start taking calls. She also said it would not be refunded. I think it said so in the initial offer letter as well.
