Working remotely for an established company is similar to working a desk job except you get to work at home. Most jobs require you to chat with customers online or via the phone, but their biggest draw is the fact that you’ll earn an hourly wage and receive a (relatively) steady paycheck. You’ll usually be asked to work regular hours, but you can do it in your pajamas if you’d like. Even better, some companies might actually provide you with benefits.
At the very least you will probably be charged the same transaction fee, if any, that your bank charges you when using another bank’s ATM. However, many banks charge higher fees for international ATM withdrawals — either a flat rate (typically $1 – $6) or a set percentage of your total withdrawal (usually 1 – 3 percent). Check with your bank before each trip abroad, as these fees can change often and without warning. To add insult to injury, you may also be charged a fee by the owner of the foreign ATM.

“I enjoy being part of the collaborative culture of science and innovation at AIR. As part of a team of talented scientists and engineers, I am challenged to contribute quality research to state-of-the-art seismic hazard models, and to interact with sophisticated clients. I appreciate seeing our efforts have a global influence on earthquake risk management.”

10. US Bank: With no foreign partners or international ATM locations, US Bank also adds fees to all debit card transactions abroad including a flat fee and a 2% withdrawal charge for those made in US dollars and 3% in foreign currency.  However, the $2.50 fee is waived for Platinum and Premium Checking customers, while Gold Checking customers can get two fee waivers every statement period. As of 2018, automated teller machine (ATM) fees are 36% higher than they were 10 years ago. Over time, ATM withdrawals have also decreased, in part due to the rising fees and the ease of electronic payments lessening the need for cash. Fortunately, plenty of banks offer checking accounts with ATM fee rebates for consumers who withdraw cash on a regular basis.

11. Wells Fargo: Though Wells Fargo will charge most of their customers $5 for foreign withdrawals, per their debit card FAQ page, customers with PMA Package accounts will receive a total of up to 2 free non-Wells Fargo ATM withdrawal transactions (combined U.S. and International) per statement cycle; and the fees are all waived if PMA qualifying balance is $250,000 or more.
